UUCSS belongs to each of us and depends upon each of us. There are many joys, benefits, and responsibilities to being a member of our congregation, including the harmony and grace that come from being a part of the whole in upholding the life and work of this great church.

Learning About UUCSS Membership

If you are interested in learning more about our exciting and progressive congregation, join us for an information session, called UUCSS 101.  These informal sessions are offered each month for visitors looking to learn more about the UUCSS community, our membership joining process, and Unitarian Universalism.

Pathways to Membership

The Pathways to Membership program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive view of our community, Unitarian Universalism and the joys and responsibilities of becoming a member.

Participants in the “Pathways to Membership” program attend a three-hour class, which is offered about once every three months.  This class is designed to provide those considering joining our church with a basic understanding of the principles and tenets of Unitarian Universalism as well as a good overview of UUCSS, who we are, what we’re about, and what we offer.

Joining UUCSS

For those ready to take the next step, a meeting is set with the church minister to speak further about the church as well as the privileges and responsibilities of church membership.  If the participant is ready, the final step to becoming a member can be performed that day, which is signing our church membership book. After you have become a member, you will be asked to join us at a Worship Service to recognize and welcome you as a new member!

Questions

If you have any questions about UUCSS membership or our joining process, please contact membership@uucss.org.  You are also welcome to contact our minister if you want to discuss whether UUCSS and Unitarian Universalism is right for you.

We look forward to speaking with you about UUCSS soon!
