Covenant

As the hours of daylight and darkness hold each other in balance, we consider the balancing acts of holding each other in community through covenant. Covenant is less about laws and more about promises — about being bound together by something larger than ourselves and toward a greater purpose that we share. We might say we have expectations of each other, though we also expect that we’ll fall short sometimes. As imperfect and yet aspiring humans, we balance acceptance and accountability, fear and hope, healthy boundaries and open hearts. We’ll reflect on the messy and dynamic art of being held in covenant.
