Rainbow UU Chalice

Queer History Month – The Rainbow Alliance Team

There have always been queer people, and many cultures around the world accepted and supported their queer community members. We will be looking at some famous figures you might not have known were LGBTQ+ as well as looking at current queer activists and their movements.  We have always been here along with our straight allies and community members, and we would like to further unify all of us in the work towards justice and equity in our communities.

We at the Rainbow Alliance are so excited to share this service with you! We will also be hosting a “Terminology 101” workshop after the service at coffee hour where we will go over some basic terms and concepts in the LGBTQ+ community as well as the best practices for responding to being corrected by a queer or trans person. There will be a lot of useful information for allies and fellow LGBTQ+ community members alike!
