It’s an election year and there is a lot of motivation in communities across the nation to make sure that people exercise their right to vote. The Minority Vote documentary film focuses on understanding how minority millennials viewed the 2016 election — what issues concerned them and what candidates they supported.
Event includes discussion with director Zinhle Essamuah of voting in America & how to work toward an inclusive, informed, and involved electoral system. Essamuah also produced Hands Up which documented the Black Lives Matter movement in Ferguson & Baltimore.
