Weaving Hope

Building a community where hope, grace, and kindness can thrive is not so much an act of engineering as it is a work of collaborative art. As with weaving, it is necessary to soften up, to prepare for twists and turns, and to be open to making repairs. For those following the Christian liturgical calendar, it is Palm Sunday, and an opportunity to consider humility. For those following the Jewish calendar, it’s just before Passover, a time when liberation seems both imminent and distant. Whatever your spiritual path, it is a good time to awaken strength and compassion among us and within us. We’ll have a commissioning ceremony for the Lay Ministry team to honor their work as peer listeners, and we’ll hear the choir embody the mysticism of Hildegard of Bingen.
