Michael Holmes

Michael Holmes has been the Music Director of UUCSS since 2004. In this capacity, he has helped to develop a diversified and integrated music program at UUCSS and the Music Residency Program; he has also promoted enriching collaborations among musicians in the church and in the community.  A recent example of this was his vision and planning for the “Missa Gaia” project, a musical celebration of our sacred earth, in collaboration with composer/songwriter Jim Scott who was a collaborator in the original Paul Winter Consort “Missa Gaia” production in 1982.

Jeannette Jackson 

Jeannette Jackson joined the staff team at UUCSS as Office Administrator in the Spring of 2022. She brings many years of office management and communications experience to her work with our congregation along with a deep commitment to freedom and equality.

Juan Vargas

Juan Vargas is the Sexton at UUCSS.  A native of Nicaragua, Juan has been with the church for more than ten years and has enjoyed working for UUCSS.  Juan has three sons named Michael, Jimmy, and Jeffrey.  Juan is an avid baseball player and also loves animals, plants, and watching American Football.

Rev. Ashley Burczak

Rev. Ashley Burczak is an Affiliated Community Minister with UUCSS. She works as a hospice chaplain with JSSA Hospice and as the chaplain for the Unitarian Universalists at Riderwood Retirement Community. Ashley preaches at UUCSS a handful of times each year.
