Today we lean into Advent, the season of waiting for hope, peace, joy, and love to come to birth in our weary world. This is a service for all ages and there are no Religious Education classes for children but the Nursery will be open for young children ages 6+ months to 5 years.
This night may not be so silent, but it will certainly be holy when we gather together to recall the Christmas story. This participatory service will include carols, a no-rehearsal pageant, candle-lighting, and is geared toward children, families, and all young at heart. Through readings, prayer, carols, music by the UUCSS Sanctuary Singers, and candlelight we sink into the the Christmas story, ever ancient and familiar, ever wondrously new. This service is geared toward teenagers, adults, and all seeking a more contemplative Christmas Eve worship experience.
All are welcome to this service for all ages featuring the lighting of the Hanukkah menorah, The Latke Who Couldn’t Stop Screaming story, and UUCSS’s brand new Labyrinth!
