Welcome to the Unitarian Universalist Church of Silver Spring. We are a liberal faith community made up of people of all ages from many backgrounds, theologies, identities, and cultures. We affirm each person’s inherent worth and dignity, honor wisdom from many religious traditions, and we practice our faith by serving our neighbors and doing justice together. We are committed to dismantling racism in ourselves and our congregation and growing into an ever more diverse, multicultural congregation.
Here is some information about how to connect with our community both online and in-person this fall:
Join Us for Worship
We gather together for worship on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. Please click here to learn more about how to join us for virtual worship. For those joining us in-person, please remember to wear your face mask. Masks are required when inside at UUCSS.

Religious Education breakout groups are offered for Children and Youth at 11am-11:45am starting on Sunday, September 17, 2023. Children and Youth are welcome to attend the service from 10:30am-11am prior to the breakout groups. All breakout groups will be held in the Fellowship House.

Learn About Our Faith
Unitarian Universalism emerged out of two radically liberal Christian traditions in the 1700s and today honors wisdom from many religions and philosophies. While we have no creed or confession of faith we do affirm and promote Seven Principles and our faith draws from Six Sources. Our congregation also has a covenant – an agreement about how we want to treat one another with respect – that holds us together as a community.
