The worship service theme is, “Many Branches, One Family.” We find common ground in our ancestors – whether inherited, adopted, or chosen – and in the ways we express connection in community. Though different branches of our network of relationships may express hope and love differently, we are all related.
After a couple of weeks of experimentation with technology, we believe the best way to make the worship service available to the most people is to livestream over YouTube. Here is where we’re planning to broadcast the service:
Many thanks for Jake Ryder for setting up the livestream, and for his many hours of assistance and expertise as we transition to online worship.
The livestream channel will be open at 10:30 with prelude music. At that point, you will be able to log in, calibrate your devices, and chat with others who are gathering before the service. At 11:00am, we’ll begin with the Gathering Song, which is still our March song of the month, “Patchwork Quilt.” We’ll have some familiar voices for the chalice lighting, the story, service music, and leading hymns.
After the service, we’ll adjourn to our congregation’s Zoom room for a Virtual Coffee Hour. Board President Tamara Bowman has arranged for an upgrade to UUCSS’s Zoom account, so we should be able to welcome our whole membership and more to join us for coffee hour. As we did two weeks ago, we’ll break into random small groups to help make conversation easier. The link for Virtual Coffee Hour will be open after the service here: https://zoom.us/j/974889828
If you missed UUCSS’s collaborative service on March 22, “Love Made Real,” you can find it through Cedar Lane’s website, or by going here: https://youtu.be/DQdxcX_zt4k
Please join us for worship on Sunday morning at 11am, and invite your friends around the world to worship with us as well.
Take care,
-Rev. Lyn
