Rev. Caitlin Cotter Coillberg (she/her) was born and raised in Knoxville, TN, where she attended Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church and her grandmother’s congregation- Oak Ridge Unitarian Universalist Church. She started feeling the call to ministry while helping to run Youth Conferences at a UU Retreat Center in North Carolina called The Mountain, volunteering as a youth leader in Young Religious Unitarian Universalists and serving on TVUUC’s Board of Trustees. She’d been told she should also try other things, though, so after graduating from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Anthropology and Environmental Studies bopped around the country doing environmental advocacy, nature/museum education work, batik and jewelry art, and various residencies and internships. She then attended seminary at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, completed a Chaplain Residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, and has served congregations in Berkeley, Davis, and Santa Barbara, California as well as Charleston, West Virginia. She lives in Wheaton with her spouse and two young children.
