Sara Scott – Religious Education Assistant & Volunteer Coordinator

Sara Scott was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. She has a degree in anthropology from Case Western and a degree in nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.

She has spent half of her life teaching in various capacities. From working in preschools to tutoring elementary school students to teaching classes for new nurses to teaching at her son’s school, education and learning have been Sara’s passions since she can remember.

In addition to education, Sara loves to explore – locally and globally. She has visited 20 countries and looks forward to visiting many more once her kids are older. She loves meeting people, tasting new foods, and hearing about other cultures and traditions. For now, she explores the woods with her partner, their 2 children, and their big, silly dog. She loves to be outside – hiking, kayaking, camping, swimming, biking, gardening, and wandering. She hopes to leave the earth greener, healthier, kinder, and more just than she found it.
