Risk and Brokenness were the themes for March, 2017. Rev. Liz Lerner Maclay and Sarah Gonzalez, CRE lead this celebratory multigenerational service to explore the holiday of Purim. The Purim story is one of desperation, deceit and survival, but it has come down through time as a triumph of identity, humanity, resistance and courage. Though the circumstances of the story are dire, it is a holiday of rejoicing and renewal. We explore this story and engage our own capacity for celebration amidst struggle, across all the ages and identities of our own faith community. Celebrate and renew!
